Forecourt - Off The Shelf Elearning Courses

Forecourt elearning courses provide employees with knowledge about health and safety on the forecourt, compliance rules and regulations and customer service at petrol stations.

In partnership with Suresite, Sponge has developed comprehensive elearning courses for all site staff. Commitment to health and safety is part of Suresite's heritage and passion, and together, we firmly believe that having well-trained staff will help prevent accidents and incidents from occurring in the first place. The health and safety training courses have been designed to teach fuel retail workers their responsibilities and highlight potential hazards within the workplace.

Safety on the forecourt elearning course

As more and more petrol stations now have convenience stores offering food and drinks, it can be challenging for the forecourt staff to ensure safety on the forecourt. Your employees must receive proper training to be able to supervise such busy and distracting environments.

Forecourt staff are required to recognise hazards and employ safety precautions implemented on petrol forecourts to protect operators and customers from risks. When required to dispense thousands of litres of highly flammable and environmentally polluting fuels, the staff need to have the knowledge which is very diverse: good health and safety practices, properties of fuels, how to use fire extinguishers, and much more.

In partnership with Suresite, Sponge has developed Safety on the Forecourt elearning course to give operators a means of acquiring all the competencies needed for the supervision of the forecourt. The training course is developed to help the staff and the supervisors gain awareness of the risks that they, members of the public, and contractors can face. It will also help them build competence and confidence by understanding the correct emergency procedures required to ensure a safe environment.

The Safety on the Forecourt is a two-hour course with a series of modules that can be covered over a period of time. There is an assessment at the end of the module and a certificate can be downloaded upon the successful completion of the course.

Competent person elearning course

Fuel deliveries cannot legally take place without a Competent person being on the forecourt. They are classified as the highest risk activities at petrol stations because thousands of litres of fuel are carried to the site during the process. Safe delivery carries a large responsibility, whether you are the owner of the site or entrusted by your employer to oversee the forecourt.

On behalf of the site operator, the Competent person must ensure that there is no source of ignition or motor vehicle movements on the forecourt. They also must provide necessary information to drivers. These duties must be carried out thoroughly and responsibly. That is why comprehensive training is necessary.

In partnership with Suresite, we have developed the Competent person learning course to help workers in charge ensure the correct handling of fuel on the forecourt and its safe delivery. The Competent person online training is a two-hour course with a series of modules that can be completed over a period of time.

Fully online and interactive, available 24/7 on any device, with no time limits, thanks to our state-of-the-art LMS, with an assessment at the end of the module. A certificate can be downloaded upon the successful completion of the course.
