GSCOP - off the shelf elearning courses.

The Groceries Supply Code of Practice (GSCOP) is legislation introduced in 2009 to regulate the relationship between supermarkets and their suppliers. In 2013, an independent adjudicator with the power to arbitrate, investigate and fine, has been appointed.

The Designated Retailers – supermarkets whose turnover in sales of groceries in the UK exceeds £1 billion – are required to comply with this code and follow its guidelines to manage the relationship with their suppliers. Non-compliance can result in a company being fined up to 1% of their annual turnover, not just grocery turnover – for a major supermarket that can mean a fine in excess of £500 million.

At Sponge, we have created the Groceries Supply Code of Practice (GSCOP) eLearning Module to support retailers in being compliant with the code and ensure that their staff are trained and do not risk fines. This module is for anyone who works with or is using the GSCOP – especially members of the Buying Teams at major UK supermarkets.

Fully online and interactive, available 24/7 on any device and with no time limits, thanks to our state-of-the-art LMS, the course has an assessment at the end of it. A certificate can be downloaded upon successful completion of the elearning module. This elearning course has been assured by RoSPA Qualifications.
