Sponge has won a gold Brandon Hall Group award in the Best Advance in Learning Management Technology for Compliance Training category, celebrating the innovative compliance learning solution Sponge delivered in partnership with Travelodge.
The learning solution Sponge created with Travelodge featured a personalised version of the Sponge Learning Management System (LMS), which was integrated into Travelodge's Human Resource Information System (HRIS). The LMS was made available through the HRIS app so that every employee at Travelodge could complete training anywhere in their place of work and at any time, in the flow of work.
The replacement of manual processes with a digitised operation meant that Travelodge could deploy, and gain insights from, compliance content at a much faster rate. Individual employees could meet the requisite levels of compliance far more rapidly and thoroughly, creating knock-on benefits for both the hotels and the company at large. Using intuitive data dashboards to track and monitor the learning meant that the process could be consistently improved and iterated upon.

Winners of the Excellence in Technology Awards are scheduled to be honoured at Brandon Hall Group’s HCM Excellence Conference, Jan. 31-Feb. 2, 2023, at the Hilton West Palm Beach, Florida.
